The Green Man (a witchy tip)

Do you know the Green Man?

The Green Man is the spirit of the forest, who is typically associated with Beltane. He is a gentle spirit who often is seen as a man covered in foliage. To me, he looks much like the Ents do in the LOTR movies.
The Green Man is the protector of the forest and of gardens.

So here is a quick little tip if you have a garden:

Meditate on the green man for a little while. Find what he looks like to you. When you have the image in your mind, you can either paint, draw or sculpt him- craft him in some way. Put him somewhere near your garden (mine is actually inside over the door to my garden) and ask the green man to visit your sacred space.

I promise, he will deliver 🙂

Feel Good Tea

In my past post, I explained that sometimes I have a rough time functioning. I am doing better, but still working hard. It is hard sometimes. It’s life.

In addition to exercise and daily meditation, I am drinking my own little tea mixture every mornng and night… It is lovely.

Feel Good Tea: I use equal parts of all dry ingredients 🙂

  • pinch of green tea
  • pinch of muddled mint
  • pinch of sage
  • pinch of lavender
  • honey to taste
  • lemon or orange peel

As I am making the tea, I focus on all of the properties that each ingredients it contains and how it will benefit me emotionally and physically. I take time to drink it, to enjoy it.

Anyways, that is my little post for the moment. I will write something more interesting tomorrow, I promise 🙂
